General climate change links

The depth and extent of information on climate change is nothing less than overwhelming. The Clearinghouse focuses on one particular aspect of the overall issue—namely, the effect of climate change on the practice biodiversity conservation, with a side focus on protecting water and agricultural resources.

Fully cognizant of the artificiality of this distinction, we recognize that nearly all climate change information will in some way be relevant to biodiversity conservation. Yet our justification for narrowing our scope is simply that no one has yet attempted to digest this particular slice of the “climate change pie,” and that the attempt will be of use to practicing conservationists, land managers, and researchers.
